Bookmonkey is website for Australian's to buy, sell and exchange books. We combined what we liked best about gumtree.com (its free), amazon.com (it has a book database) and ebay (it has a rating system) and made Bookmonkey.

How much does it cost to use Bookmonkey?

Bookmonkey is free to use. Books in Australia are expensive enough as it is.

How do I pay for books?

Bookmonkey does not touch your money in any way. Once you have established contact with a buyer or seller through this site, we suggest either meeting in person if practicable, or using an online payment provider such as paypal.

I have hundreds of books I would like to sell. Is there an easier way to get them on this site?

If you are an individual or business with over 100 books to list, please send us an email. We can efficiently upload large datasets. Please click on "About" for our email address.

What is a "super-search"

If you do a search for a book and you can not find what you are looking for, you can click on the "super search" link. This will seamlessly query a much larger database. Because this larger database is not located in Australia, it may take a few more seconds to load.

Why is the site named Bookmonkey?

Bookmonkey is our third attempt to name this site. We purchased the domain names booksatworldprices.com.au and booksaver.com.au. The problem with these names was that we could never remember them. We felt that monkeys had superior marketing potential.
